The Thor skid plate for the CF Moto 450MT is one of my best-made projects, its simple design blends with the lines of the bike as if it were born with it, offering the best protection in the world, absolute ease of assembly and disassembly and weighing less than 3 kilos.

Side Guards: The skid plate shown in the photo comes with side guards, which protect the motorcycle at vulnerable points along the sides. We have decided to include them as standard with the skid plate, rather than offering them as an optional accessory.

Like all my skid plates, each Thor for the 450MT is developed entirely by us and hand-welded only by me.

Each piece is a unique model handmade, with the passion of Italian craftsmanship that distinguishes us throughout the world.

FEATURES

WELDS

The skid plate is externally Tig welded by hand, with meticulous control of the success of this process.

Internally it has reinforcements made with Tig/Mig. The welds are intentionally large and visible. In an adventure bike, visible welds, if well done, are a touch of quality.

Every weld is done by me, I do not delegate to third parties.

WEIGHT

The skid plate weighs 2.9 kg.

Lower part, the one most exposed to impacts, 5 mm, sides 3 mm.

FRAME FIXINGS

The CF Moto 450MT comes with its own standard frame, and the skid plate has 6 attachment points to it.

As you can see in our YouTube presentation, the frame is extremely weak if it is not reinforced in some way, and the skid plate once mounted “binds the frame” to itself, giving great rigidity to the entire structure.

MATERIALS

There are many types of aluminium, each with different characteristics.

Having worked with aluminum since 1991 and transformed tens of tons of it every year, we can say we know it well.

The aluminum with which we built the Transalp skid plate is the best material for this use, the same alloy with which many luxury car parts are built.

VENTILATION

Thor guarantees complete ventilation, the fin system allows air to be conveyed towards the engine.

The engine temperature does not change if the Thor is fitted compared to not fitting any skid plate.

RIGHT SIDE PROTECTION

This protection is available as an optional, and we higlhy recommend it!

It covers and ugly part of the bike, with an exposed cable that could break during offroad.

LEFT SIDE PROTECTION

This protection is available as an optional, it’s included in the same price with the right one.

It protect the carter of the bike.

Installazione

The skid plate is very simple to install, you can do it easily at home without the help of an expert.
