THOR by GpMucci is the only akis plate for the Honda Transalp 750 equipped with its own support frame, to attach to the strongest points of the motorcycle frame, and withstand ANY impact.

Like my first Thor, the skid plate for the Yamaha T7, this too is the result of hundreds of hours of work, from an initial design phase to the nights spent with aluminum.

The idea was to create a skid plate capable of enhancing the line of the motorbike and improving its protection compared to the original, and I think I succeeded.

The skid plate is externally Tig welded by hand, with meticulous checks to ensure the success of this process.

Internally it is Mig welded, the internal welds are large and robust, and act as further reinforcement.

In handmade products, visible welds, if well done, are a touch of quality.

Every weld is done by me, I do not delegate to third parties.

Front part, the one most exposed to impacts, 5 mm, sides 3 mm. Thanks to the skid plate and the cradle, the protection of the motorbike is absolute.

FRAME FIXING

The fixing of the Thor skid plate for Transalp is what distinguishes it and positions it as the best for motorcycle protection. In fact, it is supplied together with a special frame, a cradle fixed to the motorbike frame, which joins the upper part to the lower part of the frame.

The function is actually twofold, because in addition to eliminating the risk of damage to the engine in the event of heavy impacts, this frame also creates a stiffening and reinforcement for the entire motorcycle, reducing vibrations and making it more resistant in the event of impacts.

VENTILATION

Thor guarantees complete ventilation, the fin system allows air to be conveyed towards the engine.

The engine temperature does not change if the Thor is fitted compared to not fitting any skid plate.

WEIGHT

The skid plate weighs 3.39 kg. The dedicated frame weighs 2.6 kg.

This is the fully loaded weight, i.e. including screws and brackets.

Crash bar

Compatible with:

  • SW Motech.

Other crash bars are not tested, but if you have any questions write to me, I can probably tell you from a photo if they are compatible or not.

Aftermarket exhausts

We have not tested after market exhausts yet, but given the size of the catalytic converter we think almost any exhaust could be compatible.

Central stand

Compatible with Honda central stand.

Installation guide

The skid plate is very simple to install, you can easily do it at home without the help of an expert.
