The original THOR for Tenere 700 is not compatible with the World Raid, so here are my creations for this fantastic bike. Like all my skid plates, they are handmade in Italy, every single THOR around the world is hand welded by me. When I develop a new skid plate, functionality is always the first priority, in particular protection and ventilation, in this case research and development has led me to create 2 separate products, one that focuses on better protection, one on better ventilation. The open THOR was my first model for World Raid, but following a great demand I decided to develop a closed one, more in line with my previous products, to learn more about the differences and qualities of these 2 products, I invite you to take a look at the video on YouTube, which you can find below. -
Product sold as a pair, the price includes 2 link protections compatible with all Tenere 700 standard and World Raid models that mount the Thor skid plate. This product is already included in all Thor models for Tenere 700 standard and World Raid, it is available to purchase this extra pair as spare parts. -
The Ateka link protection protects the linkage from stones and accidental impacts. It is made of high-density polyethylene, with a thickness of over 5mm, ensuring maximum protection. We have added Ateka products to our site ONLY AFTER having personally tested them on our motorcycles, they are high-quality products 100% Made In Italy. Our skid plates arrive already equipped with link protection, but this Ateka one is of higher quality, our guard is made of plastic material so as not to put pressure on the link, for this reason in case of offroad use it is destined to break and be replaced sooner or later, the Ateka one is an excellent solution. The guard is compatible with all Thor models for T7 and World Raid. Very easy to mount, just use the 2 cable ties supplied. -
Ateka disc guards have been specifically designed for off-road, they prevent accidental damage caused by impacts to the brake discs. Made of high-density polyethylene through an injection molding process, they are able to absorb the hardest impacts. They protect the braking track from dust and dirt, ensuring an always efficient and clean braking system, considerably extending the life of the brake calipers. The Ateka fairing/tank guards have been specifically designed for the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid. They protect the most exposed part of the bike in the event of a fall, and match perfectly with the Thor skid plates, both open and closed. They can be used with or without crash bars, and in our opinion they are an excellent solution to use together with the closed Thor skid plate to avoid the use of bars, which move the center of gravity of the bike upwards. The design of the Ateka guards blends perfectly with the aesthetics of the bike. Made of flexible, high-strength HDPE plastic material obtained through an injection molding process, they guarantee maximum resistance. The “adhesive Velcro” fastening system not only guarantees greater grip, but also the possibility of detaching and reattaching the guards in the event of removal for maintenance. 100% MADE IN ITALY -
The off-road protection kit is identical to that for the standard T7, minus the protection for the accelerator cables, which in the World Raid are already protected by the fairing. It is the result of a series of needs and requests received since my first works on the new Tenere. Many pointed out these 3 weak points of the bike to me, and when the genius Erminio Pescini showed me the project I fell in love with it. Having prepared the most extreme Tenere in the world for Team Kapriony, I was able to study every single corner of the bike, and I am convinced that this Protection Kit is the best possible solution to avoid nasty surprises.
