Here’s my second THOR, The skid plate I made for the Aprilia Tuareg 660.
His first name was Shark, because while I continued to modify the first prototype, I created the side holes in the shape of gills, and the final result is similar to the face of a shark. But then I thought that giving a different name to each skid plate I make could get confusing as I go on to create new products, so here is simply the THOR for the Tuareg.
Like my first Thor, the skid plate for the Yamaha T7, this too is the result of hundreds of hours of work, from a first phase of design to the nights spent with aluminium.
The idea was to create a skid plate able to enhance the line of the bike and improve its protection compared to the original, and I think I succeeded.
If you want to use your Tuareg off-road, know that the bike has a weak point, or rather 2: ABS SENSORS. Both the cable placed in the rear wheel and the one in the front wheel are exposed to risks. They can easily come out of the seat in which they are housed, and once exposed it’s really easy for them to get stuck in a branch or other, tearing. This is why I have created these simple but effective protections, they can be assembled in 2 minutes and can avoid a potentially costly and problematic damage. They are available as an optional together with the skid plate, or you can buy them separately. And they also look cool, but that’s my opinion.
